artfest is a premier fundraising event, drawing thousands of patrons each year. Now entering the 34th year, this annual family-oriented festival of fine art and music has become one of the largest art shows and festivals of this kind in the Southwest. Normally occurring Saturday and Sunday of the Memorial Day Weekend, this year, ARTFEST 2004 will run from May 28-31 at our new location at Addison Circle Park, 15650 Addison Road, Addison, TX 75001.

The School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas, is hosting a Global Communications Strategy Forum from May 5, 2004 - May 7, 2004. This forum will assess the future of the telecommunications industry and will be attended by CEOs, top policy makers and academicians.
They are looking for a few individuals who would like to volunteer to organize the events for those dates. This will provide an excellent opportunity to network and hear from industry specialists in the telecommunications industry. Meals and refreshments will be provided.
Volunteer times are:
Wed, May 05: 6:00pm - 10:00 pm
Thur, May 06: 8:30am - 10:00pm
Fri, May 07: 8:30am - 2:15pm
The duties generally involve around meeting and ushering the speakers and visitors to the forum.

Sorry for the late notice, but the City of Dallas today notified us that, due to a forecast of thunderstorms tomorrow, they have been forced to cancel our park cleaning.
As a substitute, we have arranged to decorate lunch bags for delivery to a local children’s hospital next week. I hope that you will join us from 9-11AM in the Comet Café for some fun and relaxation in the name of a good cause. T-shirts and breakfast will still be provided.
