Alpha Phi Omega, Alpha Epsilon Zeta Chapter of UTD
AEZ Chapter History - Spring 1999
This was the first full semester after the chartering of our chapter. Many significant things happened this semester, including creation of our own pledge program. We also attended our first sectional conference, which was held by the Beta Delta chapter at A&M Commerce. The theme of the conference was “Service in the Sticks”, and it was a great chance for us to get to know the other chapters in our section.
The first annual Clan Olympics was held, with victory being claimed by the Misfits, a rag-tag assembly of Cordaros, Wongs, and Mike Shelby.
We held our first Ugly Man On Campus charity, with the student body declaring Mo Kashmiri to be ugliest of them all. He raised $500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We donated a great deal of our time this semester to a number a charitable organizations. We did projects with Easter Seals, Arc of Dallas, and Ronald McDonald House, among others. We also returned to Camp Constantin for the Brazos Buccaneers work day.
